The abstract submission deadline for the upcoming APHA conference has been extended. I won't repeat the full Peace Caucus call-out, can be found here (http://apha.confex.com/apha/139am/pc.htm). But note that the actual deadline is February 18 and not the 8th!
On September 30, 1986, over 500 APHA members and conference attendees protested at the Nevada Test Site in support of a Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty as a step towards the abolition of nuclear weapons. Approximately 130 protesters partcipated in non-violent civil disobedience, including Carl Sagan. These pictures are from APHA member Gail Gordon, who was also the founder of the Peace Caucus.
